The Harrisburg Polyclinic Hospital, on North 4th Street, where I was born duuring the evening of Wednesday, May 6th 1953. My mother's maiden name was Yarnall. Both she and my father were born and raised in Mount Carmel, PA. They moved to the Harrisburg, PA area after marrying. I was their second child and second daughter, After the birth of my sister Carolyn less than two years earlier

This might be as close to noteriety as I ever could hope to achieve. But it was BIG news in Harrisburg in 1953.

My first home as an infant was an apartment above a garage at 928 Susquehanna Street. It was a one bedroom one bath apartment with a closet sized kitchen. It wa a few blocks from the capital and 2 blocks from the river. I wasn't even a toddler when we moved from this "home".

It shouldn't be surprising that it was necessary to turn down frequent offers from Hugh Hefer to pose as a PlayBoy centerfold model.

This photo is of the housing project in Harrisburg at Sycamore and 13th Streets that we moved to.It's a current picture and the trees and fence were not there back then. It is a very large complex. We lived in unit H. There were four rooms and a bathroom in each apartment. By the time I was walking pretty well and my sister Judy was born, , we moved again... to White Plains , New York about 30 miles North of New York City.
