This beautiful picture of Lake Erie was taken from a location in Presque Isle State Park in Erie, PA. The park is an arched peninsula that juts out into Lake Eriie. It is a pleasant place but its flat sameness does not inspire one to mske return visits. That blandness quality exemplifies much of what the Erie area has to offer. In Erie, like most Pennsylvania cities, one is quickly overcome with the dullness of the place. It doesm't feel like Erie is a part of Pennsylvania and New York is where it belongs. Despite that, the area mot a bad place to raise a family. |

After breaking up with my husband John in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, I took up residence with my sister Carolyn in an apartment in Erie. Carolyn had one child, Jeremy, and I had two, Jennifer and Sean. Things were a little tight but we made it work. I was grateful Carolyn's generosity. As time went by John and I decided to give our marriage another try. So, off I went again to Ludlow, Kentucky hpoeful that my marriage would endure. |
